Dear Friends,

In Covington, there is a monument located behind Meinken Field honoring 30 residents who were killed in the Vietnam War. The property on which this monument currently resides has been renovated and access to the monument has become increasingly limited. The Covington Vietnam Fallen Memorial Committee was formed to negotiate a new location for this monument. That location has been found and the monument will be re-located to a small park-like area across from Latonia Baptist Church (very close to the Korean War Memorial at Ritteā€™s Corner). We are currently working with Architect Bill Batson and several local businesses to build a new memorial for our friends and neighbors who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We are selling pavers (click here to access the PAVERS FORM) to help pay for the new memorial; but are also looking for larger donations and grants. The purpose of this letter is to ask if you would consider a monetary donation to help build this beautiful Vietnam Memorial that will enhance the City of Covington and bring a meaningful statement to our fallen heroes. With your help, the names of Covington Vietnam Fallen will be visible for their families, friends, comrades, and the public.

Please make checks payable to:
